Who we are
Turnbound is developed by Mustafa Can Erdem under the name Cobalative Studios. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the developer. For questions about personal information or to exercise a privacy right, email info@cobalative.com.
This policy covers the Turnbound app and the Turnbound marketing, privacy and support websites. Third-party services have their own privacy policies, linked below.
Your game, on your device
Turnbound saves game progress, settings, Career Path rewards, collected items, equipped cosmetics, tactical discoveries and recent game summaries locally on your device. The current version does not require an account, and we do not operate a server that receives your saved games.
Advertising reward receipts are stored locally to prevent the same reward being added twice. We do not send your board positions, moves, collection or game-save contents to Google as part of our advertising integration.
Apple may include app data in device backups according to your Apple settings. Those backups are managed by Apple, not by us. The current version does not provide a Turnbound account, multiplayer service or our own cloud-save service.
Advertising and optional rewards
Turnbound uses Google AdMob to display interstitial advertisements when starting a new game from a result screen. You can also choose to watch a rewarded advertisement to receive one randomly selected in-game supply. Watching a rewarded ad is optional. A reward is added after the advertising SDK reports that it has been earned.
Google’s advertising SDK may collect and process the following information:
- IP address, which can be used to estimate general location.
- Device or app identifiers, including an advertising identifier when available and permitted.
- Advertising information, such as ads shown, views and interactions.
- App interactions, diagnostic information, crash logs and performance information.
This information may be used to deliver and measure advertising, prevent fraud, diagnose problems and improve advertising services. Depending on the choices available to you, applicable law and device permissions, advertising may be personalized or non-personalized. Non-personalized advertising can still involve processing for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention.
We do not request access to your precise location, camera, microphone or contacts for advertising. The app does not include a separate analytics service operated by us. AdMob’s own measurement and diagnostic processing still applies.
Your advertising choices
Where required, Google’s User Messaging Platform presents a privacy message before advertisements can be requested. You can accept or decline the choices offered in that message. When the consent platform requires a privacy-options entry point, Settings → About → Ad Privacy lets you revisit those choices.
You can also manage relevant privacy and tracking permissions in your device’s Settings. An advertising identifier is available only when allowed by the operating system and your permissions. Changing your choices does not erase game progress or remove supplies you have already earned.
For people covered by US state privacy laws, applicable opt-out choices concerning the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising may be available through the consent platform. We do not independently sell your saved-game data. Advertising partners’ processing is described in their notices and the choices shown to you.
When you contact support
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information or attachments you choose to include. We use these to respond, investigate the issue and keep necessary support records. Please avoid sending passwords, payment-card details or other sensitive information. Screenshots are optional.
We do not add support contacts to a marketing mailing list simply because they ask for help. Email delivery and storage are handled by the email providers involved.
Website hosting
Our Turnbound websites are hosted on Netlify. Hosting providers process technical request information, such as IP addresses, requested pages, browser information and timestamps, to deliver the pages, maintain security and operate the service.
These website packages do not include advertising scripts, analytics tags, embedded social-media trackers, remote fonts, newsletter forms or marketing cookies. Images and scripts are served with the site. External links are loaded only when you follow them.
See Netlify’s Privacy Policy for information about its processing. This hosting processing is separate from AdMob advertising inside the game.
Why information is processed
We process information to operate the game and websites, remember your preferences, provide the advertisements you encounter or choose to watch, deliver earned rewards, respond to support requests and protect the services from abuse.
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, the relevant basis may be your consent for processing that requires it, our legitimate interests in providing secure websites and responding to support, the performance of a requested service, or compliance with legal obligations. Advertising choices are managed through the consent platform; providers explain their own purposes and legal bases in their notices.
Retention and deletion
Game progress and preferences remain on your device while the app’s data is retained. Deleting the app normally removes its local data; restored device backups may restore that data. Manage backups separately through Apple’s settings. Removing the app does not automatically delete information already processed by advertising or hosting providers.
We retain support correspondence only as needed to handle the request, resolve related issues and meet applicable obligations. Providers retain advertising, diagnostic and hosting information according to their own policies. Contact us if you want to ask about or request deletion of support information we hold.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal information, to object to some processing, or to withdraw consent. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Email info@cobalative.com to make a request concerning information we hold. We may need proportionate information to verify the request. We cannot directly retrieve a local save from your device or erase data held independently by another provider; we can direct you to that provider’s privacy tools. You may also have the right to complain to a relevant data-protection authority.
Children’s privacy
Turnbound is not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly request children’s personal information through a Turnbound account or support form. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review it and take appropriate action. Advertising and consent requirements may also depend on age and region.
Security and policy updates
We use reasonable measures appropriate to the information and services involved. No device, email system or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your device and operating system up to date.
We may update this policy when the game, its providers or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated where required.
